Statement
Cinematic Alchemy
I am always searching :
for balance,
for the space
between what is real
and what is unseen.
As a filmmaker, I move
between two worlds:
the visible
and the invisible.
The world we see,
and the world we sense.
Sometimes it begins with a face,
a gesture, a silence that bares a story.
Other times it begins with a feeling
that wants to emerge
through the image.
I was born between two lands:
Poland and Greece.
Between snow and sea,
stillness and light.
Maybe this is why I am drawn
to the in-between:
where opposites meet
and create something new.
Alchemy runs in my blood.
My grandparents were chemists,
my parents are artists:
all of them searching
for transformation, for wonder,
for that invisible thread
that connects all things.
In my work, I try to capture that meeting :
where reality turns luminous
and the invisible begins to breathe.
Film allows us to slow down. Some do.
To look.
To listen.
To remember that we are connected,
that our stories belong to the same thread.
This is (some) alchemy:
to turn what passes through us
into something that stays.
